ADHDROOM App – Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This policy is for the ADHDROOM app for iPhone and Android ("the app"), made by ADHDROOM Inc.
The short version
- No account. No ads. No tracking.
- What you do in the app stays on your phone.
- We don't sell or share your data, because we don't collect it.
What stays on your phone
The app saves a few things on your phone so it can work:
- your settings (for example, that you set up the pause and which apps it's for),
- your counts (pauses, times you said no, your week and streak).
These never leave your phone. Deleting the app deletes them.
iPhone: Apple's Shortcuts app
On iPhone, you set up the pause in Apple's Shortcuts app. The automation lives on your iPhone and is controlled by you. ADHDROOM only learns that the pause should show for the app you picked. You can delete the automation at any time.
Android: the Accessibility service
On Android, the pause uses Android's Accessibility service, called "ADHDROOM pause". You turn it on yourself in your phone's settings, after the app explains it and you agree.
- What it uses: only the name of the app that comes to the front of your screen (for example, Instagram).
- Why: when it's an app you chose in ADHDROOM, the app shows one breath before it opens.
- What it doesn't do: it doesn't read what's on your screen, what you type or your messages, and it doesn't control your phone.
- Where it goes: nowhere. It's checked on your phone in the moment and isn't saved or sent to us or anyone else.
You can turn it off at any time in Settings > Accessibility > ADHDROOM pause, or by deleting the app.
App updates
To get small updates, the app checks Expo's update service (expo.dev). Like any website, that service receives basic technical details to send the update, such as your IP address, the app version and the type of device. ADHDROOM doesn't use this to identify you.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, they are created on your phone by the app. We don't send marketing messages.
Screen Time (future feature)
A later iPhone version may use Apple's Screen Time tools to block apps. Apple keeps those choices private: ADHDROOM can't see which apps you pick, and that information stays on your iPhone.
Children
The app isn't made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anyone's personal information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
